A duel against another shinobi's shadow
The Arena is an asynchronous PvP mode: every shinobi trains a guard clone that fights in their place. When you launch a challenge, the Arena draws another player's clone and you face it live, choosing every action yourself, round after round.
Your opponent does not need to be online: their clone follows the strategy they prepared. Meanwhile, your own clone takes on other players' challenges, even while you are offline.
- Challenges: you attack enemy clones and play every round.
- Guard: your clone defends your place with its own equipment and strategy notebook.
- The Path: every win earns Arena points that unlock permanent rewards.
- Rankings: two top 20 boards rewarded with Sparks every Monday.
Entering the Arena
The Arena opens at level 10. Go to your village headquarters and accept the mission "The Arena Clone": your village's arena master teaches you how to train your first clone.
Once the mission is complete, enter the Arena from the World through the Arena Seal, wherever you are. You land on the Path: the challenge of the day, your clone's status and your next rewards share the same screen.
- No Season Pass required: the Arena is open to everyone.
- Guest accounts must be registered first.
- The Arena plays on desktop and on mobile.
Preparing and launching a challenge
In the Challenges tab, pick one of your five World decks and adjust it on the spot: attitude, weapon, armor, mask, necklace and jutsus. Selecting a deck here does not change your active World deck.
Your opponent is only revealed at launch. It is drawn from the clones closest to your rating, favoring those that have been challenged the least that day.
- You play every round yourself: the deck's strategy notebook does not apply in challenges.
- Single-use items (consumables) are not allowed in the Arena.
- Your teammates and accounts linked to yours are never drawn.
- If no clone is available, nothing is spent: neither a challenge nor AP.
How a challenge unfolds
A challenge is won by the first fighter to win two bouts, with three bouts at most. Each bout lasts up to five rounds.
Between bouts, an intermission lets you freely edit your five decks and choose the one for the next bout. The enemy clone keeps the same preparation from start to finish.
- KO: if only one fighter falls, the other wins the bout. A double KO draws the bout.
- On points: if both fighters last five rounds, damage dealt decides the bout.
- Gauges: full chakra at the start. Between bouts, life is restored and remaining chakra is kept, without recharge.
- Ties: after three bouts, the side with the most bout wins takes the challenge. Only on an equal score does total damage decide.
- Memories: every challenge is archived with each bout's details, compared builds and a replay of every fight.
Costs and rewards
The AP cost is paid once for the whole challenge, never per bout. Rewards are credited automatically when the challenge ends.
Challenge cost
- Challenges 1 to 3: free
- Challenges 4 to 6: 3 AP each
- Challenges 7 to 15: 5 AP each
- Up to 15 challenges per day

- Challenge won: +20 points
- First win of the day: +40 points
- Received challenge won by your clone: +10 points and 200 ryos
- A loss never removes points

- Level 100: 3 XP per win
- XP goes to the player who launches the challenge, once per challenge
- Forfeits grant no XP
Your guard clone
When created, your clone copies your active World build. It then becomes independent: its equipment, jutsu list, attitude and strategy notebook are set in the Guard tab, without touching your World builds. Its stats follow your character.
Your clone automatically takes on other players' challenges, even while you are logged out. Its preparation is locked when each received challenge starts: your changes apply to the next ones.
- Loot: each received challenge your clone wins earns 10 Arena points and 200 ryos, up to 3 per day against different attackers.
- Guard rating: it starts at 1,200 and rises or falls with the result and the attacker's rating. Holding off a higher-rated attacker pays more.
- Placement: the first 10 received challenges count double for the rating, then your clone enters the rankings.
- Notebook: notebook rules can only cast jutsus that are in the clone's jutsu list.
- Memories: rewatch lost challenges to fine-tune your notebook.
The Arena Path
Every Arena point you earn adds to your lifetime total, which moves you along the Path. It has 30 tiers split into three acts and never resets: no season, no deadline. Each tier you reach credits its reward automatically, once.
After tier 30 (4,900 points), the Path continues into the Infinite: a repeatable 3,000-point gauge that pays 1 Spark each time it fills, up to 3 per month. At about six challenges a day, expect around nine weeks to clear all thirty tiers.
- Act I, Entering the lists (tiers 1 to 10): ryos, avatar items and the "Arena Duelist" distinction.
- Act II, Renown (tiers 11 to 20): the "Arena Tactician", "Shadow Virtuoso" and "Duel Master" distinctions.
- Act III, The Sparks (tiers 21 to 30): 5 Sparks in total and the "Arena Legend" distinction.
- Seven exclusive avatar items, from "Chakra Breath" to "Duel Eclipse".
Rankings and Sparks
The Rankings tab holds two weekly boards. Points of the week adds up your challenges and your clone's wins. Guard rating ranks clones by their rating, which never resets.
Every Monday at midnight (Paris time), the top 20 of each board receives Sparks, the rarest resource in the game. Rewards from both boards stack.
- 1st place: 10 Sparks
- 2nd and 3rd places: 6 Sparks
- 4th to 10th places: 3 Sparks
- 11th to 20th places: 1 Spark
- After 30 days without logging in, a clone leaves the rankings. It keeps its rating and returns when you come back.
Tips to get started
Every day
Play your 3 free challenges: the first win of the day counts double.
At intermission
Switch decks if the bout goes badly: remaining chakra carries over.
After a loss
Rewatch your clone's memories and fix its notebook.
Frequently asked questions
Do both players need to be online?
No. You face the other player's clone, which fights with the preparation and notebook that player gave it. Your clone does the same for you.
Do you lose anything when you lose?
No points or ryos are removed. Only ratings move: your clone's when it loses a received challenge, and your challenge rating when you lose a challenge you launched.
Do Arena fights work like other fights?
Yes: same actions, same jutsus, same damage formulas. To learn everything, read the combat guide and browse the jutsu encyclopedia.
Does the Path reset every week?
No. Only the Points of the week counter resets on Monday. Your lifetime total, your tiers and your clone's rating are kept.
