Delete your Shinobi account
This page explains how to delete your account from the game Shinobi (developer: Shinobi), and what happens to your data.
From the Shinobi app
- Open the app and log in.
- Tap the settings icon to open the profile menu.
- At the bottom of the menu, tap "Delete my account".
- Read what will be erased, then confirm with your password.
From the website
Log in on shinobi.net, open "My account", then "Delete my character" at the very bottom of the page.
Without the app
Write to [email protected] from your account's email address, with your username. We handle the request within 30 days and confirm the deletion by email.
Timing
The request deactivates your account at once. For 30 days, you can cancel it by logging in again. On day 30, the account and its personal data are erased for good.
Data erased
Email address, password, IP addresses, device fingerprints, preferences, inventory, progress, team, game history and account logs. Your name disappears from rankings, replays and other players' histories, replaced by "Deleted player".
Data kept
Records of your purchases (amount, date, payment reference), 10 years, for accounting. Your private messages and chat messages, hidden, 1 year, for moderation. Your username, reserved with no time limit so nobody can impersonate you: we only keep its fingerprint, with no link to the rest of the account.
